MCA Welcomes Ben Riniker!

By Rachel Collier, CPSM, Associate

We are very excited to welcome Ben Riniker to MCA!

Ben graduated with both his Bachelor of Art in American Studies (Architectural History & Cultural Landscapes) and Master of Historic Preservation from the University of Maryland, College Park and is a Qualified Architectural Historian. Ben is currently finishing the last year of his Master of Architecture degree at Morgan State University.

Ben has a broad range of experience in architecture and preservation, from retail design & shopping center renovation, to the adaptive reuse and rehabilitation of historic housing, to research and writing on Modern architecture in Maryland.  Ben took a detour into traffic engineering, focusing on lighting design and a few other specialties before coming back to architecture.

Ben is interested in the design and construction of healthy environments that withstand the test of time. In particular, he studies how new buildings can morph with future needs and demands. For existing buildings, Ben integrates new design into the adaptive reuse of historic contexts.  We are very happy to have Ben a part of the MCA team and look forward to his contributions across different sectors.
